What motivates students to participate in research? For most of us, it is the possibility of informing practices, helping people, and changing the status quo. And yet, the vast majority of scientific research is reported only in academic journals that are full of pay-walls and jargon. The result? Research, evidence, and important facets of scientific exploration are inaccessible. Students for Open Science was founded to break down these barriers and make sure that scientific findings are available to everyone.
